January 6, 2026Subject: Increased Influenza and COVID-19 Activity – Visitor Guidance
Dear Residents and Families,
Dear Visitors,
We want to inform you that there is currently an increase in influenza and COVID-19 activity in the community, and active cases have been identified within our facility. There is a cluster of influenza cases present on the 6th floor, but may be present on other floors as well.
To ensure the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors:
- Please check with the nursing station before visiting your loved one for guidance on appropriate safety measures and to ensure you have been informed of any covid or flu issues your loved one may be having, or if they are known to have been recently exposed to a resident with respiratory illness.
- If you are feeling sick or have recently been exposed to someone who is ill, we kindly ask that you reschedule your visit for a later time.
- Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth while inside the facility.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
- Dispose of tissues properly and perform hand hygiene immediately after.
- Maintain physical distance where possible.
- Use hand sanitizer
We strongly encourage all visitors to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccine and seasonal influenza vaccine to help protect themselves and our residents.
Your cooperation helps us protect the health of all residents and staff. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to safety.
